CONTACT YOUR CONSULTANT
It is important to us here at TurnerFox Recruitment to provide the best service not only to our clients but also to you the candidate. To enable us to do that we ask that once you have completed your interview you call your consultant as soon as possible.
Your consultant will ask you how you felt the interview went and your opinions on both the company and the job role, that way when we speak to the client to gain their feedback on the interview we can raise any queries and questions on your behalf before any important decisions are made.
Feedback from interview can be invaluable for improving future results and building on experience.
Once you have handed in your notice your employer may decide to offer you a more attractive salary or overall job package in order to make you stay.
Counter offers are more common than you might think. Having to recruit again for quality employees can be an expensive and time-consuming.
If your employer offers you an equivalent or better salary / package than your new job offer to persuade you to stay you might first want to ask yourself why it took your resignation to bring this about.
Most of us are easily flattered and the offer of more money along with colleagues telling you “the place won’t be the same without you” can easily make you forget the reasons you wanted to leave in the first place.
Don’t feel guilty and always take the time to think the situation through carefully before responding to a counter offer.
It is usually a good idea to discuss it with your friends and family who may offer a more objective viewpoint.
Once you have made a decision, stick to it and handle the situation in a professional and courteous way for the benefit of all parties concerned.
