If you are given an application form or written information to complete remember to be neat and complete in full. If your not sure of something ask don’t cross out on the paper it looks messy.
Be confident speak loud and clearly don’t mumble. You may be asked some of the following questions so prepare beforehand:
Be informative but to the point, you may want to give the interviewer a brief overview of yourself and your hobbies and interests but don’t give your life story.
Describe your career to date highlighting your strengths from each job explaining how those skills will benefit this role you are interviewing for.
Highlight a few strengths relevant to the position these strengths should ideally be from a working environment but you could use life skills. Try to consider one weakness you have had but explain how you have overcome it in past roles.
Never ever be negative about a past employer it is not professional and may hinder your chances. Give an informative reason, try to rehearse this before you attend that way you are prepared.
Remember your questions and don’t be afraid to ask this is a two way interview and the employer will be looking for your interest.
Once you have asked all the questions you need ask the employer if there is anything else they would like to know, from you this will raise any unanswered questions they may have.
